I thought that 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' was a play with a lot of different emotions from all of the characters. I found it to be a play that kept my attention wondering what would happen next. Especially with the different relationships within the story. There was a love hate relationship that took place with the parents which pretty much trickles down to their son's and their marriages. It seemed as if each marriage was unhappy with their spouse in some way. I enjoyed the play and could see it come to life on a stage. It was entertaining and for the most part easy to read. Big Daddy's character was more like Bricks. They held the same nonchalant personalities as they both were unhappy in their relationships, but stays in them. They both carry a sense of humor that brightens the play from the sadness of sickness, depression, and envy that takes place. The play "A Doll House" was a very interesting read. It was almost like a movie playing out as you read it. I found the meaning of the play to be one that covers current issues within some marriages. The weight of a secret can really weigh heavy on a person. It can also cause the secret to form different, yet unnecessary lies to cover itself. Spiritually, I do believe that you are able to take certain issues to the Lord confiding in only Him for direction and He will then direct you in how to go about handling a situation or will also forgive you of a hidden sin.   I believe that Nora's inability to see herself as a person of value outside of her husband's image was her reasoning for confessing her secret Mrs. Linde. This read was not what I expected. After reading the Introduction to the play, I began to get excited about reading a "comedy" within a love story. However, after reading it I felt almost as if I had read a high school play that contained a comedy for teenagers. I felt like my mind was trying to wrap itself around the relationships as I tried to recollect who likes who in the story. However, love did find it’s way in the story, it was just a different approach which lacked my interest as a reader. I myself enjoy a good read that takes my mind on an adventure. Almost like watching a movie within your mind as you read. That was something this story lacked. I found this read to be a little easier than last weeks because the overall meaning of the play. It seemed as if the author wanted to intrigue the minds of the readers by allowing the characters to be different characteristics that are relatable.  The play allowed my mind the opportunity to venture off at times when I read the exchange with Death and Everyman. The writers ability to display a conversation that seemed to be so realistic had me thinking about what I should change or dismantle any attempt thrown against me by the devil. I thought the plot was great and the meaning behind it was one with a lot of substance. There are many who are on the fence when it comes to their salvation and I know some who are waiting until they get everything out of their system before they surrender their lives to Christ. I was a little skeptical of the play considering the introductions information on it. I wasn't sure how the play's theme would be once I began reading the actual play. However, I did read and then watch a replica of it on youtube, which allowed me to see the humor and grasp a better understanding of what the writer was trying to portray. I find it easier when reading this type of play to be able to hear the difficult words to help better understand them; opposed to sounding out words that make no sense to me. The humor within it was definitely for a more mature audience that would hold no offense nor show immaturity to the nature of the play that was held from beginning to end. It touched on views of women and men in such a way that I'm sure some were able to relate. Would you agree? The writer revealed a sense of power held by a woman and a weakness of a man. The more I read the more I realized how important it is to be certain of who you are within yourself. I was able to find the play on youtube, which brought it to life for me by reading along as I was listening to the play. I was able to hear the anger, confusion, bitterness, concern, guilt, etc. thru the eyes of others acting the play out. It made me think about the rising number of bullying that happens today and how someone else's thoughts and insecurities can alter your perception of someone or even yourself if you carry doubt within yourself. The further I got into the play, I can admit, that I too had my suspicions of Father Flynn. Although I became suspicious, I had a higher level of doubt because of the lack of evidence presented.  Reading into the play and trying to dissect the reasoning behind Sister Aloysius' accusations, I took her as being a person who was miserable.
